Let’s go down – way downtown that is and hang out there for a few hours. Sometimes, it gets a bit maddening- especially when there are tons of options guaranteed to create everlasting memories, on any given weekend -without the feeling of experiencing FOMO (Fear of missing out).
This seems to be a growing epidemic!
In order to try and sustain this situation from escalating further, it was easy to show Brooklyn some love and head down to the 6th annual Taste Williamsburg/Greenpoint foodie extravaganza, on September 13.
Hello, Sunday fun day!
This event helps support the Northside Town Hall Community Center with ongoing renovations and operations for the former activities of Engine Co. 212 Firehouse and provide permanent residency for the neighborhood social justice organizations.
A few walking steps from the L train, and with the East River Park as the perfect scenery, for a couple of hours, guests sampled yummy tastes from over 40 neighborhood restaurants within Brooklyn.
Just to name a few participating restaurants: Anella, Bakeri, Brooklyn Cupcake, The Brooklyn Star, Cafe Moto, The Camlin, Champs Diner, The Heyward, Hope Garage, Hotel Delmano, Juliette, Le Barricou, Le Fond, Lighthouse, Lilia, Maison Premiere, McLure’s Pickles, Meatball Shop, MP Taverna, Pies & Thighs, Tea & Jam, plus many others proudly represented their signature dishes.
Plenty of food, local breweries, and wineries to chase down the thirst, accompanied by live music, and good energy – what more could you ask for?
Absolutely nothing. Oh, wait there is one thing, to repeat it once more next year – especially if it is for a good cause.
Hopefully, after reading this, you will make it a priority to come through next year and Taste Williamsburg/Greenpoint for yourself. For more information click here.
