Taste of the LES: More please!

16th Annual Taste of the Lower East Side. New York, NY © 2016 NY Social Agenda (http://nysocialagenda.com/)

On April 6th, 1000 guests had the wonderful opportunity to be part of the 16th Edition of the Taste of the Lower East Side.

The only way to get through a grand food tasting is to go through every row and just hope the belly is able to continuously sustain the tantalizing delicious samples followed by insane cocktails. Eventually, everything evens out in the end. Maybe.

The speakers pumped out DJ Sodabu’s retro and current tunes while guests mingled, contributed to the intervention to break down the conversations in between tables and participated in the silent auctions.

Items up for bid included tickets to NY Giants and Jets, a chance to golf with the Yale head Coach, any sold out show at Brooklyn Bowl, the chance to have a celebrity chef make you and your family/friends a personalized meal, be part of Bravo’s Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen, authentic autographed official NFL football, plus so much more other great items.

Whether you were juggling trays of food, tossing neon circles into bottles of wine, posing at the GIF photo booth, dancing, and/or taking in all the experience while sitting down, just know all proceeds were allocated to Grand St. Settlement.

The 50 restaurants responsible to give you a memorable experience included: Loreley Restaurant & Biergarten, L’Apicio, Macondo East, Dirt Candy, Clinton St. Baking Co.& Restaurant, Cata, Prohibition Bakery, Spur Tree, Balvanera, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Boulton & Watt, Hecho en Dumbo, Pizza Beach, Beauty & Essex, The Stanton Social, Doughnut Plant, Think Coffee, Gemma, Fung Tu, and Black Crescent.

IL laboratoria del gelato del gelato took us the future with nitrogen based iced goodies as Huertas, Schiller’s Liquor Bar, Black Tree, Kossar’s, Veselka, Flinder’s Lane, Jameson’s Black Barrel, The Meatball Shop, Mr. Purple, Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya, Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery, Paulaner NYC, Antibes Bistro, Schapiro’s, The Lucky Bee, Maharlika & Jeepney, Rebelle, Pearl & Ash, Claw Daddy’s, Kuma Inn, Sauce Restaurant, Roni-Sue’s Chocolates, Bar Goto, Mezetto, Kingsley’s and finally Pala aimed to compete for your taste buds.
