It seems as if 2015 so far has become a game changer in Sports so far, since the beginning of the year.

Then again, if things remained the same and Sports were even remotely predictable that would create the potential of boredom to settle in and no one would go through great lengths to attend such historical – yet entertaining events.

Since there are tons of exciting things happening around the world – and we had to narrow it down to New York, it might be a bit difficult to choose a few ( let alone one single thing) to occupy your time.

Luckily, there are tons of exciting annual events in New York promised to hold your attention span just long enough to keep you coming back for more every year,.

In this case, the 2015 Hampton Classic is one highly anticipated event that brings together people who enjoy watching the sport – and/or attend the event to possibly get a potential glimpse of their favorite local and nationwide celebrities.

For a whole week, city slickers and country folk alike make the trip to Bridgehampton to participate in mini events, lasting for a week, and ending with the Grand Prix( main race).

In 2013 and 2014, t was a blast to be part of the Classic, and the only expectation was to repeat the same experience again this year.

Wondering who showed up?

Former NYC Mayors: Rudy Giuliani, Michael Bloomberg, Mary Kate Olsen, Former cast member from Bravo’s NY Housewives – Kelly Bensimon, Luann DeLesseps ( NY Housewives cast member) with Philip Bloch, Marla Maples and Jason Binn, incredible home-maker icon -Martha Stewart, former model turned entrepreneur – Brooke Shields, and many more came to smile for the cameras, and show support for the sport.

Also, for those who have never visited Long Island, this is a great chance to stop by, take in a couple of days and explore some shopping, the beach and intermittently stop by to catch the daily races and events in between before the Grand Prix.

Congratulations to all participants in every category and from the daily jumps. A big round of applause goes to:

1st: Karen Polle – Horse: With Wings fourth and final rider in the jump-off o and receiver of the $250,000 Hampton Classic Grand Prix, Presented by Longines.

2nd : Todd Minikus. Horse: Babalou.

3rd: Chris Sorenson. Horse: Bobby.

4th: Maegan Nusz. Horse: Dynamo.

It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to this event, however, the social calendar has already blocked out the dates for 2016. Happy 40th, Hampton Classic, see you next year. In the meantime, for more deets click here.
