Hampton Classic: Let the Mare ride.

721

Even though Labor Day weekend might be considered the last time frame for warm weather (for some) to cram in the last push of Summer events, we were privileged to attend the 3rd annual Hampton Classic in Bridgehamton, NY.

What a treat!

The day started out a little on the gray side, however, the action inside the venue, warmed us up with endless excitement and entertainment – and it’s only fair to share it with you.

Let’s start at the VIP event. This is an exclusive access port to everyone and anyone titled as a celebrity. We entered to steal photo opportunities with Former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Gayle King (yes Oprah’s bestie), James Lipton from Bravo’s network hit show: Inside the Actor’s Studio, Jennifer Lopez – just to name a few.

We also had a quick encounter and brushed elbows with Luis D. Ortiz from the show Million Dollar Listing NY – also on the Bravo network.

Now let’s get on with the actual horse championship. First, we would like to congratulate everyone who participated in the week long event that starts on August 24-31. However, a huge round of applause goes to:

1st Place: Kevin Babington and his mare (Shorapur)

2nd Place: Brianne Goutal (Nice DE Prissey)

3rd: Place: Richie Moloney (Freestyle DE Muze).

After the victory lap, it was time for the press conference which was the perfect way to end an already great day by listening to all contestants speak of their week long journey preparation to be part of this moment – and of course it presented us with opportunities to snap more pictures.

In case you would like to re-live the experience with us, we hope you enjoy skimming through our media gallery – you might see a few people that you recognize.

No, we will not spoil the surprise.

The Hampton Classic is an annual event, so if you missed out this year, don’t stress. Tickets are very budget friendly and it’s fun for the entire family and for more information click here.. Stamp it on your social agenda and we will see you next year.
