Fashion Week Favorites

While there are a slew of new trends at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2017 Collections, there’s no need to wait till next winter to try them out. Here are some of our favorites!

Red Hot Nails

“The classic red nail has just taken an unexpected turn. Soaked in the LA sun and worn on a medium length almond, we’re making it cool to wear red again..” explained Jan Arnold, CND Co-founder & Style Director. To add a little pop to Jeremy Scott’s collection, Arnold combined a few colors to get the perfect California inspired hue.

Want to get a cherry bright red mani at home? Arnold’s shares how to recreate the exact same shade found on the runway. To get the look, use a base coat of CND’s VINYL Weekly Polish in Banana Clips. Next paint over the whole nail with a coat of Electric Orange, topped with a coat in Wildfire. Add a little something extra like Miss Pop did by painting on large gold stars for that glitzy Hollywood vibe.

Nude with a Twist

“Beauty is the courage to show your real self. There’s beauty in truth.” – Peter Lindbergh

The “no makeup” makeup trend is still going strong, with designers sending models down the runway in a more natural state. Clean skin could be seen on the models at several shows, but many added a little punch with a slightly unstructured bright or two-toned lip as shown at Rosie Assoulin.

Natural Textured

Precise hair is out, instead amplify your hair’s natural texture like Glamsquad did backstage at Cinq a Sept. Giovanni Vaccaro, lead stylist, applied Kerastase Nectar Thermique to prep the hair and Baxter Cream Pomade to add some much needed texture. A diffuser and curling iron added an additional layer of dimension and enhanced natural waves for that perfectly undone look.

A beautiful smooth complexion starts with supple hydrated skin. To get your skin fashion week ready try Miss Spa Sheet Masks available at Target retailers. We love the restore and brightening 24K gold radiance mask. Made popular by Victoria Secret Angels and celebrities alike, gold face masks do more than just look great for your Instagram profile; they also helps brighten and improve blood circulation. Miss Spa also has a Cha

rcoal Clarifying Mask and an Oxygenating Bubble Mask, for different skin concerns. At $3.99 each it’s now easier than ever to get that natural glow that comes with perfect skin.
