Hello everyone. While Mother Nature was crying over the weekend, we were not about to allow a rainy Saturday, to pass us by. Besides, do you really think we would leave you high and dry in March, and let you go for six months until September without Fashion?

No. We promised to deliver a social agenda to you, and it’s only right to keep you on your toes with as many fashion events as we possibly can until Fashion Week.

In this case, we had the pleasure to attend a very unique and exquisite fashion event, on March 14, to highlight three up and coming designers in New York.

Also, if we decided to opt out on this event, you wouldn’t have the opportunity to check out these delicious edible high-heel creations:

We present, Krystina Staykova:

  • Former professional ballroom dancer turned business owner/fashion designer.

  • Started and operates Boutique Staykova- one stop shop for Haute Couture Costumes for the Ballroom Dancer – including shoes, accessories, and practice attire.

  • 2011 opened The Ball NY Dance Studios -premiere dance studio for National Ballroom Champions.

  • The studio is also home to Salsa, Flamenco, Belly Dancing and Argentine Tango coaching as well (please sign us up)

  • Her collection is based on using fun, whimsical and bold colors and she hopes to create garments for the “Golden Girls” who are wiser than 60 – and aspires to start a couture collection for babies and young children.

  • Think Miami meets Europe – yep that’s how we are going to describe it.

Wait until you see the green outfit – just saying. Website:

Ray Brown:

  • Designer and creator of Ray Vincente – catering to menswear (under the Ray Vincente label)

  • Freelance designer since 1983

  • Influenced by European and American Urban cultures

  • In June 2015, Ray will produce and launch womenswear in Soho.

  • Current line is called Petra which means “strong.”

  • Future aspirations include designing a lifestyle collection (including home), and his VIP celebrity list that he would like to design for include: Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, and Michelle Obama. Website:

Tyrell Mason:

  • Current Collection line is called Tyrell Collections

  • Emphasis on the classy and upscale full figure woman

  • Favorite timeless creation include the wrap dress and creating pieces that are versatile.

  • They can either be worn as one piece or a compilation or many pieces to complete one look

  • His collections are inspired by various music. This particular line was edgy and shiny (hello gold bathing suit) and Evanescence provided the perfect music backdrop for his show. Website:
